Okay, so I wanted to get better at golf, and I kept seeing this name, Brayden Miller, pop up in some online forums. I figured, “Why not check him out?” So, I started my little investigation.
Digging for Info
First, I just did a simple search to see if I could find. I just wanted some basic info, maybe some stats or a website or something, So I could to find some videos, see his swing, you know?
I found some videos. After looking at a few, I started trying to mimic his movements, I did notice a few things about his stance and how he grips the club.
Hitting the Range (and Failing)
Armed with my newfound “knowledge,” I headed to the driving range. I’m not gonna lie, I felt a little silly at first. It was awkward, and I definitely shanked a few balls… okay, maybe more than a few.
- First few swings? Total disaster.
- Then I tried to remember what that position looked like.
- I focused on keeping my body, try not be so stiff.
I spent about an hour just practicing that, over and over. It felt weird, and I wasn’t hitting the ball perfectly, but I could feel a difference. It felt… smoother, I guess?
Back to the Videos
I watched some more videos, paying closer attention to the details. I noticed how he turned his hips and how his weight shifted during the swing.
and back to the range.
Slow and Steady
This time, I took it really slow. I practiced each part of the swing individually. The setup, the backswing, the downswing, the follow-through. I broke it down into tiny pieces and focused on getting each one right, then put it all together.

It’s Working (Kind Of)
I’m still not a pro, I’m hitting the ball more consistently. And it’s going further, too! It’s not perfect, but it’s progress. And that’s what matters, right?
The Takeaway
This whole Brayden Miller experiment taught me that you can learn a lot from watching, But you gotta put in the work, too. It’s not about instantly becoming a great golfer. It’s about taking small steps, practicing consistently, and not being afraid to look a little goofy while you’re learning. Keep at it, and you’ll see improvement. At least, that’s what I’m hoping for myself!
