Okay, so I’ve been wanting to create a dedicated space in my home to showcase my admiration for Bryce Harper. I’m a huge Phillies fan, and he’s just incredible to watch. I finally decided to take the plunge and do it.
Getting Started
First, I cleared out a corner in my living room. It was previously just a catch-all for random stuff, so it took a bit of decluttering. I moved a bookshelf, rehomed some plants, and threw away a bunch of old magazines.
Gathering My Memorabilia
Next, I dug out all my Bryce Harper stuff. I had a signed baseball, a couple of jerseys (one framed, one not), a few bobbleheads, and a stack of baseball cards. I also found some cool posters I’d forgotten about!
Putting It All Together
I started by hanging the framed jersey. It’s the centerpiece, so I wanted it to be eye-level and prominent. I used a level to make sure it was straight (very important!). Then, I placed the bookshelf I moved earlier underneath it. On the shelves, I arranged the bobbleheads and the signed baseball on a little stand.
I then, put up shelves to showcase other items.
- Signed baseball
- Jerseys (one framed, one not)
- Bobbleheads
- Baseball cards
- Posters
Finally, I tacked up the posters around the jersey, creating a sort of collage. The baseball cards I put in protective sleeves and arranged them in a binder that sits on the bookshelf.
The Final Result
I’m really happy with how it turned out! It’s a dedicated “Bryce Harper shrine,” and it makes me smile every time I walk by. It’s a great conversation starter, too. My buddies love it, and my wife… well, she tolerates it. She knows how much the Phillies mean to me. I think it’s pretty cool, and it definitely adds some personality to the room.
