Well, let me tell ya ’bout this UFC 5 thing, ya know, the fightin’ game. Folks keep askin’, “is ufc 5 crossplay between xbox and ps5?” I heard some young’uns talkin’ ’bout it down at the grocery store. They were all fussin’ and cussin’ ’bout it, so I figured I’d try and make sense of it all.
First off, what’s this “crossplay” thing anyway? Sounds fancy. From what I gather, it means if yer boy Billy has that there X-box and yer little Susie has that Play-station thingy, they can still play together. Like, they can be on different machines but still whoop each other in the game. Makes sense, I guess. Saves folks from buyin’ the same machine just to play together.
Now, about this UFC 5… I asked around, ya know, talked to some folks who know about these things. Seems like it ain’t that simple. They told me, plain and simple, UFC 5 ain’t got no crossplay. Nope, not between that X-box and that Play-station. Ain’t gonna happen, at least not right now.
Heard tell it’s only for the new machines too. That X-box Series X thing and the Play-station 5. So, if you got one of them old machines, well, yer outta luck. Can’t play this UFC 5 at all. They say it’s ’cause the new game is too fancy for the old boxes. More power, more… I don’t know, more somethin’. All this new technology, it’s hard to keep up, I tell ya.
- No crossplay between Xbox and PS5 for UFC 5.
- UFC 5 only works on newer consoles (PS5 and Xbox Series X|S).
It’s a shame, really. Would be nice if everyone could just play together, no matter what machine they got. But I guess these big companies, they gotta do what they gotta do. Maybe they’ll change their minds later, who knows? These things, they change all the time. One day it’s this, the next day it’s that. Can’t hardly keep up.
So, if you were hopin’ to beat up on yer buddy who’s got a different machine, well, you can’t in this UFC 5. You gotta both have the same thing, or you’re outta luck. That’s what I understand, anyways. And it’s gotta be one of them new machines, none of that old stuff.
I also heard somethin’ ’bout somethin’ called “cross-progression.” Sounds even fancier than crossplay! From what I gathered, it means if you start playin’ on one machine, you can keep goin’ on another. Like, if you beat up on some folks on yer X-box, then you go to yer friend’s house who has a Play-station, you can keep playin’ with the same fighters and all that. But see, UFC 5 don’t have that neither. No cross-progression. You start on one, you stick to one. That’s it, plain and simple.
It’s a bit confusin’, all this tech stuff. Back in my day, we just had one game, and everyone played it. No fancy machines, no crossplay, no nothin’. Just good ol’ fun. But I guess that’s just how it is these days. Always changin’, always somethin’ new. Hard for an old lady like me to keep up, but I try, I try.
So, to sum it all up, no crossplay and no cross-progression for UFC 5 between Xbox Series X|S and PS5. You need the same console as your friend to play, and you gotta stick to that console. It’s only on the new machines too, none of those old ones. Makes it kinda complicated, if you ask me. But that’s what I heard, from them folks who know these things. And it’s a shame, because it would be nice if everyone could play together.
I also heard this game ain’t on them computers neither. Just the new Play-station and the new X-box. So, if you were hopin’ to play it on your computer, you’re out of luck again. It’s all these different things you gotta keep track of these days. It’s enough to make your head spin.
Anyway, that’s the story on this UFC 5 and its crossplay, or lack thereof. Hope that makes some sense to ya. If not, well, ask one of them young’uns. They seem to know all about this stuff. Me, I’m just gonna stick to watchin’ the real fights on TV. At least then I don’t gotta worry ’bout no crossplay or whatever they call it.
