Alright, so I’ve been digging into this whole Cincinnati Reds prediction thing for the upcoming season, and let me tell you, it’s been a ride. I wanted to share my process because, honestly, it was a bit more involved than I initially thought it would be.
First off, I started by just gathering info, you know? Like, just soaking in everything I could find about the Reds. News articles, blogs, those fan forums where everyone thinks they’re the next great manager – you name it, I was reading it. I even listened to some podcasts, like “The Skinny Podcast”. It was a bit overwhelming at first, not gonna lie. Too much information and it is hard to find the useful ones.
Then, I got a bit more organized. I started focusing on what happened last season. It looks like they did pretty well in 2023, almost made it to the playoffs, which is cool. That got me thinking about how they could do this year. I saw some stuff about how the expectations are higher now because of last year, which makes sense. The team is pretty young too, so that’s something I kept in mind.
Crunching Some Numbers (Sort Of)
Next, I tried to look at some, well, I guess you could call them stats. I’m no math whiz, but I checked out who their best players were last year. Like, I read somewhere that Ted Kluszewski led the NL in home runs back in 1954 – dude was a beast, apparently! For this year, it seems like everyone’s talking about Elly De La Cruz. They even shortened his name to “Elly”! Gotta keep an eye on that guy, I guess. Another guy named Nick Martinez might play for the Reds in 2025, how about that?
I also looked at their schedule, especially the beginning of the season. That’s important, right? A good start can really set the tone. Some expert named Gordon Wittenmyer thinks they’ll go 83-79 and get second place. Not bad, not bad. I mean, it’s all just guessing, but it’s fun to think about.
Putting It All Together
Finally, I kind of just threw all this info together in my head and made my own little prediction. I think they’ll do alright. Maybe not win the whole thing, but they’ll definitely be in the mix. I’m thinking they might surprise a few people. There are talks about David Bell losing his job. If a new manager is in, it might bring some new energy.
- Wins: Around 85, give or take.
- Place: Second or third in their division.
- Overall: A solid season, maybe even a playoff berth if things go their way.
So, yeah, that’s my process. It was fun, a bit messy, but fun. It’s all just for kicks, of course. I am not betting my house on this or anything. We’ll see what happens when the season actually starts. Go Reds, I guess!
