You know, that game, what’s it called? Clash of Clans, yeah, that’s the one. My grandkids, they play it all the time. They keep talkin’ ’bout these, uh, heroes and their fancy stuff. They call it “hero equipment” I think. They’re always yappin’ about what’s the best, so I figured I’d try to figure it out for ’em. Kids these days, always need the best of everything.
So, they got these fellas, the Barbarian King and the Archer Queen. They’re like the big shots in this game, I guess. And they got all sorts of things to make ’em stronger, like shiny trinkets and whatnot. You gotta get these things for ’em or else they ain’t as tough. It’s like giving your prize-winning rooster a new set of spurs, makes him fight better. That’s what my grandson told me anyway.
My grandson, he told me about this shiny thing called the Giant Gauntlet. That’s the one you gotta get first, he said. Makes that Barbarian King real strong. Like, he could lift a whole ox with that thing, maybe. He says that this is the best hero equipment you can get, and it makes a real difference. You see the difference right away, he says. He talks like he knows everything, that boy.
- First thing, get the Giant Gauntlet for the Barbarian King.
- Then you can think about other things. But that Giant Gauntlet, that’s important.
- Makes him strong, like he’s been eatin’ his greens every day.
Then there’s this other fella, the Warden, I think they call him. He’s got some things too. I heard ’em say somethin’ about an Eternal Tome, and a Rage Gem. Don’t know what they do, but it makes the Warden all powerful. He can fight off a whole army of them goblins, I reckon. Or you can use something called a Fire Ball with the Rage Gem, depends on what your troops are doing. Each town hall needs a different coc army. It’s like feedin’ chickens – gotta give ’em the right feed for what you want ’em to do.
This game, it’s got so many things, it makes my head spin. All these different things to collect, like eggs in a henhouse. But these hero things, they seem important. They’re like the special chickens that lay the golden eggs. You gotta have ’em, or you ain’t gonna get far in the game, or so I hear.
I heard ’em say that some of this stuff, you gotta use it at the right time. Like, you don’t feed your hogs when they’re already full, do ya? Same with these heroes. You gotta use these things when they’re gonna do the most good. That’s what smart folks do, they say. You gotta use the best hero equipment at the right time for the best result.
They also said somethin’ about upgrading this stuff. You can make it even better, apparently. Like, you can sharpen a hoe to make it cut weeds better. Same idea, I suppose. You keep workin’ on it, and it gets stronger and stronger. You gotta spend some shiny coins to do it, though. Just like buyin’ new chicks for the coop, it costs ya somethin’ to get somethin’ better. That’s how it goes in this Clash of Clans world, I guess, and that is why the best hero equipment needs to be upgraded regularly.
I don’t really understand all this Clash of Clans stuff, but my grandkids sure do love it. And if these hero things are what they need to win, then I guess they’re important. It’s like plantin’ seeds in the spring. You gotta plant the right ones if you want a good harvest. And you gotta take care of ’em, too. Same with these heroes, I reckon.
I asked my grandson which hero was better, Barbarian King or Archer Queen. He looked at me funny and said, “They are both great, grandma.” So I guess it depends on your game and which one you like best. Both of them have good equipment. And I am sure both of them can do some serious damage to the enemy base with their best hero equipment. So choose the one that is good for your army, that is what I think.

It is not easy. My grandson says that there will be even more heroes in the future. And I am sure they will have their own equipment. You gotta keep up with the game. Maybe I’ll go shuck some corn now. That’s somethin’ I understand.
