Hey everyone, so today I was digging into the stats for the Colorado Rockies vs. Padres game. It’s always a blast to see how these two teams stack up against each other. I started by looking up their head-to-head records. Seems like it’s a pretty intense rivalry!
First, I found some overall batting totals. You know, the usual stuff like games played, at-bats, runs, hits, and all that jazz. It’s kinda cool to see the big picture of how these teams have performed against each other over time. I made a little table to keep track of it all:
- Team
- From
- To
- Wins
- Losses
- Games Played
Then, I stumbled upon some specific game summaries. One that caught my eye was from September 25th. The Padres crushed the Rockies 13-6! Man, that must have been a wild game. The attendance was over 40,000, and it lasted 3 hours and 43 minutes. I wrote down the date, attendance, and time to remember it later.
I also checked out a game from August 2nd. This one was much closer, with the Padres winning 3-2. A real nail-biter, I bet! And there were a couple of games from 2021 that I looked into as well. On July 31st, the Rockies beat the Padres 5-3 in front of a huge crowd of 44,144. Another one on August 16th, the Rockies won again, 6-5, but with a smaller crowd of 24,565.
Then I got sidetracked a bit and started reading about a game between the Dodgers and the Rockies. But hey, it’s all baseball, right? After that little detour, I found this interesting tidbit about a Rockies pitcher, Germán Márquez, who not only pitched well but also got two hits and two RBIs in a game where the Rockies beat the Padres 7-3. That’s pretty impressive for a pitcher!
Finally, I dove into some historical player stats for the Rockies. Did you know that Jorge De La Rosa has the most wins in Rockies history with 86 wins? And Aaron Cook is second with 72. I also found out that Todd Helton played the most games for the Rockies, ever. Pretty neat, huh?
So yeah, that was my little adventure into the world of baseball stats today. It’s always fun to uncover these little nuggets of information and piece together the story of these games and players.
