Alright, guys, let’s talk about Colossal Weapons in the Elden Ring DLC. I’ve been messing around with them, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride.

First, I jumped into the DLC, eager to try out some new toys. I’d heard whispers of these massive weapons, and I was itching to get my hands on them. I started exploring, poking around every corner, and eventually, I stumbled upon a chest tucked away in a ruined castle.
Inside? A brand-new Colossal Weapon! I don’t want to spoil the weapon name, I don’t remember, but just describe it for you. It was this HUGE, ridiculously oversized axe. Seriously, it was bigger than my character! I equipped it immediately, and whoa, the weight difference was noticeable. My character moved slower, more deliberately. It felt like I was actually wielding something with some serious heft.
My first test? Some poor, unsuspecting enemy. I charged up a heavy attack, and… BOOM! This thing just obliterated them. The damage was insane! But, it wasn’t just about the damage. The attack also staggered the enemy, leaving them wide open for a follow-up. It felt so satisfying to land those heavy blows.
Then,I Spent the next few hours just experimenting. I tried different attacks, different timings, and different enemy types. I quickly learned that Colossal Weapons are all about commitment. You can’t just swing wildly; you need to pick your moments. The wind-up on the attacks is long, so if you miss, you’re left vulnerable. I use onehanded and twohanded, the twohanded is better for damage.
- Timing is key. Learn the attack animations and enemy patterns.
- Stagger is your friend. Use those heavy attacks to break enemy stances.
- Don’t be afraid to commit. Once you start an attack, see it through.
- Manage your stamina. These weapons eat through stamina like crazy.
I fought my way through several areas, smashing and crushing everything in my path. I even took on a few bosses with this Colossal Weapon. It was tough, but incredibly rewarding. The feeling of landing a fully charged heavy attack on a boss and seeing a chunk of their health bar disappear? Amazing!
I am still figuring out all the nuances, but I’m loving the Colossal Weapons so far. They’re a total game-changer, offering a completely different playstyle. They’re slow, deliberate, and incredibly powerful. If you’re looking for a new way to experience the Elden Ring DLC, I highly recommend giving them a try!
