Keeping Up with Fritz: My Little Tracking Project
Alright, so I’ve been trying to keep closer tabs on Taylor Fritz lately, you know, figure out his schedule and how he’s been doing in matches. I’m a bit of a tennis nut, and Fritz is one of the guys I really enjoy watching. So, I thought I’d share how I went about tracking his stuff.

First thing I did, obviously, was just fire up my computer and start searching. Nothing fancy, just typed things like “taylor fritz schedule”, “fritz tennis results”, that kind of thing into the search bar. You get a ton of hits, mostly big sports news sites and the official tour pages.
So, I started clicking through. The main tour websites are usually pretty good for the official schedule, listing the tournaments he’s entered in. That gave me a basic idea of where he was supposed to be playing in the coming weeks or months. Finding the actual schedule was the easy part, mostly. Sometimes they list tournaments way in advance, but you learn that things can change, players pull out, stuff happens.
Next up was tracking the results as they happened. This takes a bit more effort, especially with time differences. If he’s playing somewhere halfway across the world, I’m usually asleep when the match is on. So, my routine became checking scores first thing in the morning or using one of those live score apps on my phone during the day. I’d just search for the specific tournament he was playing in that week.
Putting it Together
After doing this for a bit, just checking different sites randomly, I decided I needed a slightly better system. It got a bit messy trying to remember which tournament was when and what the last result was.
So, I started keeping a simple note on my computer. Nothing complex, just a running list:
- Tournament Name & Date
- His Opponent for Each Round
- The Score (Win or Loss)
It’s pretty basic, but it works for me. I just update it whenever I check the results. If I see he’s won, I add the score and look up who he’s playing next. If he lost, well, I note that down too and then check when his next scheduled tournament is.
Sometimes finding info for the smaller tournaments can be a bit tougher, the coverage isn’t always as widespread. And yeah, schedules definitely change. A withdrawal here, a walkover there – you gotta stay flexible and check back fairly often, especially right before a tournament starts or during it.
It’s not rocket science or anything, just a little process I developed. It’s kind of satisfying to have my own little log of his matches. Helps me follow his season better than just catching headlines here and there. Anyway, that’s how I’ve been doing it. Looking forward to seeing where he plays next.
