That Vince, he’s a tough old bird, ain’t he? I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout did Vince McMahon have a stroke or somethin’. Well, let me tell you what I know about that whole mess.
He’s been around forever, that Vince fella. Runnin’ that wrestlin’ thing, you know? Big ol’ show. He took it over from his daddy, way back when. Wanted to make it somethin’ big, somethin’ everyone would watch. And he did, I reckon. Made it all fancy, like them movie pictures.
Now, I ain’t one for that wrestlin’ stuff myself. Too much jumpin’ around and hollerin’ for my taste. But that Vince, he sure knows how to make a dollar. He used his family’s money. Some folks say he did some things, not so nice, to get where he is. Squeezin’ out the little guys, they say. But I don’t know nothin’ ’bout that. That’s just what I hear.
He’s gettin’ up there in years, though. Gotta be close to, what, eighty? Near 80, they said, I think I heard them say he’s 79, later this month. That is old. Time catches up to all of us, even him. And when you’re that old, things start to go wrong. Your body just ain’t what it used to be. It is just like a old car.
I heard he was in some kind of accident. Somethin’ about a motorbike and a car. He was hit by a car while on his motorbike. Can you believe that? An old fella like him, ridin’ around on a motorbike! He should know better. But that’s Vince for ya. Always livin’ on the edge, I guess.
They say he was in a wheelchair. But it is not a normal wheelchair. It is “the Mercedes Benz of wheelchairs”, they said. After that accident, I don’t know for sure. But a wheelchair is a wheelchair. Means you can’t walk right. And when you can’t walk right, somethin’s wrong. Could be a stroke, could be somethin’ else. Who knows?
They say he stepped down from runnin’ that wrestlin’ company. His daughter, Stephanie, she’s in charge now. That’s what they say, anyway. Maybe he’s just tired. Maybe he wants to rest. Or maybe somethin’ really did happen to him. It’s hard to say. Vince McMahon stroke, maybe, maybe not. He’s a tough one, though. He’ll probably be back, kickin’ and screamin’, before you know it.
That’s all I know about that Vince McMahon fella. He’s a big shot, that’s for sure. Made a lot of money, did a lot of things. Good things, bad things, who knows? But he’s definitely a character. And I reckon he’ll keep on bein’ a character for as long as he can.

This wrestlin’ thing, it is not just wrestlin’ now. It is everythin’. Movies, football, somethin’ called WWE. He made it into a big, big thing. They call it a “global integrated media and entertainment company”. And somethin’ about a TKO group and a Endeavor Group. It is too complicated for me. Too many big words. I don’t understand all that stuff. But it sure sounds important.
This wrestlin’ thing, I heard people say it is great. I do not know. Maybe it is. Maybe people like it. It is not for me. Too much noise. But that Vince, he did good. He made somethin’ big. Maybe he is not a good man, maybe he is. I do not know. But he did somethin’ big. Now he is old. Maybe he is sick. That is sad. But it happens to everyone. Even to big shots like Vince.
Well, that’s all I gotta say about that. Hope you folks understand what I’m sayin’. It ain’t always easy to get these old thoughts out, you know? But I do my best. I really do my best. I just want to tell the truth. That is all.
