Alright, let’s talk about this “Creative Accounting” event that popped up in Monopoly Go recently. Saw the name and thought, huh, that sounds kinda cheeky. Wondered if they actually wanted us to find some weird loophole or something.

Diving In
So, I jumped into the game like usual. Found the event banner pretty quick, right there at the top. The theme seemed kinda fun, all about fake money and maybe dodging taxes, Monopoly style. The goal was pretty standard stuff, though. Land on the specific event tiles – I think they were pickups, looked like little calculators or something this time around? Collect enough of those to hit milestones.
Started rolling the dice, aiming for those pickups. You know how it is. Sometimes you hit them back-to-back, other times you dance all around them. I decided to use a bit of a multiplier, not crazy high, maybe x10 or x20 sometimes, just to speed things up a bit without burning through all my dice in five minutes.
Checking Out the Goods
Took a peek at the reward track pretty early on. It was the usual mix:
- Dice rolls (always need more dice)
- In-game cash
- Sticker packs (hoping for something new, usually get duplicates though, haha)
- Those timed boosters like Rent Frenzy or Cash Grab
Further down the track, there were bigger chunks of dice and cash, and eventually one of those event tokens or shields. Looked okay, nothing mind-blowing, but decent enough to keep me playing for a bit.
The grind started to set in after a while. Roll, land, collect. Roll, land somewhere useless, collect nothing. Roll, land on Chance, get sent somewhere else entirely. Standard Monopoly Go frustrations. Ran low on dice a couple of times, had to wait for the timer or hope for a lucky break from the daily treats or a tournament reward.
Was It Really “Creative”?
Honestly, despite the name, I didn’t find anything particularly “creative” about the gameplay itself. It wasn’t like there were hidden strategies or clever accounting tricks to get ahead faster, other than the usual multiplier timing stuff. Maybe land on Railroads for tournament points that also had event pickups? That’s about as creative as it got for me. Mostly just felt like another collection event with a funny name slapped on it.
I managed to push through quite a few milestones. Got a decent amount of dice back, which was nice. Picked up a few sticker packs – mostly duplicates, shocker. The cash injections were helpful for upgrading landmarks, kept that part moving along at least.

Wrapping Up
I didn’t quite finish the whole reward track this time. Got maybe three-quarters of the way through before it ended or I just ran out of steam and dice. The final rewards always seem like such a huge jump in points needed anyway. Was it worth it? Yeah, kinda. Got some resources, kept me busy in the game for a few days. The “Creative Accounting” theme was a bit of a laugh, even if the gameplay wasn’t revolutionary.
So, that was my run with the Creative Accounting event. Just another day rolling the dice in Monopoly Go, really. Now, just waiting to see what the next event throws at us.
