So, I’ve been looking into the Duke vs. NC game, and let me tell you, it’s a doozy. I started off by checking out what the general consensus was.
I dug around for some predictions and odds. It seems like most sources are focusing on the September 28th matchup. Apparently, it’s gonna be the fifth game of the College Football Week.
Then I looked at the teams’ current standings. Duke is looking pretty strong with a 4-0 record. They seem to play well. Meanwhile, North Carolina is at 3-1, not too shabby either.
I found out that the game’s gonna be at Wallace Wade Stadium. And it seems that there is a +3 that is available for Duke. A few places are suggesting taking the Tar Heels at +5.5, which is interesting.
I did some more reading on the history between these two. Duke’s been doing well at the Dean Smith Center in the past couple of years, winning there in both 2023 and 2022. But, overall, the Tar Heels have the edge, especially in Chapel Hill. They really seem to dominate there.
- Duke won at the Dean Smith Center in 2023 (62-57) and 2022 (87-67).
- Historically, the Tar Heels lead the series 143-117.
- In Chapel Hill, UNC leads 64-39, and at the Smith Center, it’s 20-18, with Duke winning three of the last four games there.
Also, I got a little sidetracked and checked out some predictions for the 2025 NCAA Men’s Tournament Winner. It looks like Tennessee is undefeated and the No. 1 team, but after that, it is a bit of a mess, with teams like Auburn and Duke in the mix.
My Two Cents
It’s a tough one to call, honestly. The numbers and history point to a close game. I’m gonna keep an eye on this one and see how the odds change. Maybe I’ll put a little something on it, just for fun. But who will win? We have to wait and see.
