Okay, guys, so I decided to take on the Kenny Omega cosplay thing. It all started when I was scrolling through some images and saw a picture of Kenny from Wrestle Kingdom 11. You know, the one where he’s looking all Terminator-ish. I thought, “Man, that’s cool, I wanna do that!”
First off, I had to figure out what the heck I needed. I mean, I’m not a pro or anything, so I didn’t want to spend a ton of money. I started by making a list of the basics: the outfit, the hair, and, of course, the attitude.
The outfit was a bit tricky. I looked up a bunch of pictures and realized I couldn’t just buy the exact thing. So, I hit up some local thrift stores and found some black pants and a jacket that looked kinda similar. They weren’t perfect, but hey, they were cheap!
Next up, the hair. Now, Kenny’s got that wild, blonde thing going on. My hair is nothing like that, so I knew I needed a wig. I found a decent one online that didn’t cost too much. It was a bit of a hassle to style it, but after watching some tutorials and messing around with it, I got it to look somewhat like Kenny’s.
Getting into Character
With the clothes and hair sorted, I started working on the props. I found some cheap materials around the house and got to work. It was a lot of trial and error, cutting, gluing, and painting stuff. Let me tell you, it wasn’t easy. There were times I felt like giving up, but I kept pushing.
-
The Jacket: I added some silver duct tape to the jacket to give it that Terminator vibe. It wasn’t the cleanest work, but it got the job done.
-
The Gloves: I found some old black gloves and cut the fingers off. Then, I added some silver paint to make them look more like Kenny’s.
-
The Shades: Luckily, I already had a pair of sunglasses that looked pretty similar to the ones Kenny wears. Phew, saved some money there!
After all that, it was time to put it all together. I put on the outfit, the wig, and the props, and looked at myself in the mirror. It wasn’t perfect, but you know what? I felt pretty darn good! I practiced some of Kenny’s poses and mannerisms, trying to get into character.
I even got my friend to take some pictures of me. We messed around with the lighting and angles to make it look as cool as possible. It was a lot of fun, and the pictures turned out pretty decent, if I do say so myself.
So, yeah, that’s my Kenny Omega cosplay story. It wasn’t easy, and it definitely wasn’t perfect. But I had a blast doing it, and I learned a lot along the way. It just goes to show that you don’t need to be a pro or spend a ton of money to have fun with cosplay. Just be creative, resourceful, and most importantly, have fun with it!
