Okay, so I was messing around online, as you do, and stumbled upon this crossword clue: “home of Baylor University”. I’m not a huge crossword person, but I do like a good brain teaser, and this one had me stumped. I mean, I’ve heard of Baylor, but where is it? My mind was blank.

First, I did what anyone would do – I stared at the clue for a good minute, hoping the answer would magically appear. Nope. Nothing. Still blank.
So, I went down the rabbit hole. You know, the usual routine.
I thought, “Maybe if I think of famous Baylor alumni, I’ll remember some random connection to a city”. That didn’t work. I drew a total blank on famous Baylor people.
The moment of truth
Finally, I decided to just type the darn clue into the search bar.
And boom! There it was, clear as day. Turns out, the answer is WACO. I slapped my forehead – “Of course! Waco, Texas!” I’d even heard of Waco before, just totally spaced on the Baylor connection.
It’s funny how these things work. You can rack your brain for ages, and then the answer is just… there. I guess that’s the beauty of crosswords (and the internet!), right? Always something new to learn, even if it’s just a random city in Texas.
Anyway, just thought I’d share my little adventure. Maybe it’ll help someone else out there who’s stuck on the same clue. Or maybe it’ll just remind you that sometimes, the simplest solution is the best one. Don’t overthink it! (Like I totally did.)
