Okay, so I’ve been trying to get better at golf, you know, actually hit the ball straight for once. I kept seeing this name, Eric Cole, pop up in my searches, and I figured I’d give his stuff a shot.

First thing I did was watch some videos. Lots of ’em. Just to see the guy’s swing in action, you know? It looked… smooth. Way smoother than mine, that’s for sure.
Digging into Practice
Then came the actual practice part. I went to the driving range, armed with, like, a vague idea of what I was supposed to be doing.
- Grip: I tried to mimic his grip. I spent a good 10 minutes just holding the club, trying to feel how he held it in the videos. Felt kinda weird at first, not gonna lie.
- Stance: I tried to copy his stance. I moved my feet around. Bent my knees a bit more. Felt like I was gonna fall over, to be honest.
- Swing: Oh boy, the swing. I tried to keep it smooth, like he does. I really tried. First few swings? Horrible. Sliced it, hooked it, topped it… you name it, I did it.
I kept at it, though. I’d swing, then I’d check a video on my phone, then swing again. I did adjust a few things he talked about, the way I was moving my hips, which helped. Slowly, I started to not completely suck. I mean, I wasn’t good, but I wasn’t sending balls flying into the next county anymore. It took time, I watched a few more videos, and I have been recording my swing to study.
The Results (So Far)
It’s definitely a work in progress. My game is still, well, let’s just say it’s “under construction.” But, I can see some improvement. I’m hitting the ball straighter more often, even if it’s not going as far as I’d like. That felt like progress.
I’ll keep practicing, keep watching the videos, and keep trying to, you know, not embarrass myself on the golf course. It is not perfect, but I can play.
