Alright, so I wanted to figure out the time for the big UCLA versus USC game. It’s one of those matchups you always kinda keep an eye out for, you know? The crosstown rivalry thing.

So, first thing I did was just whip out my phone. Usually, I just punch stuff like this straight into a search bar. Didn’t even think twice about it.
I typed something like “ucla usc game time today” or maybe it was “when is ucla playing usc”. Can’t remember exactly, just the standard stuff you’d type.
Got a whole mess of results back, like usual. Saw some news articles talking about the rivalry, some predictions, maybe even some highlights from past games. It was kinda cluttered. Had to actually scroll a bit, looking for just the kickoff time.
Digging a Little Deeper
Some sites mentioned a date, but the time was buried in the text, or sometimes it wasn’t even for the right game – maybe football when I was thinking basketball, or vice-versa. Or it was last year’s time! That happens sometimes.
So I thought, okay, let’s try a more direct approach. I decided to check out one of the big sports network sites. Figured they’d have a clear schedule.
Went to one of those main sports pages, you know the ones. Looked for their college sports section, then found the schedule page. Sometimes you gotta navigate through a few menus.
- Found the college football schedule (or basketball, whichever sport it was I was looking for then).
- Scrolled down to find the date the game was supposed to be on.
- Looked for either UCLA or USC on the list for that day.
Finally Found It!
And there it was, listed right on the schedule grid. It showed both teams, the date, and bam, the kickoff time. It also usually says which channel it’s on, which is handy too.

Just to be sure, sometimes I quickly check one other place, maybe the official UCLA athletics site or the USC one, just to see if the times match. Usually they do. Once I saw the same time listed on a couple of reliable spots, I felt good.
So yeah, that was my little journey just to find out the game time. Took a couple of tries, but got there in the end. Now I just gotta make sure I’m free to watch it!
