Alright, let’s talk about this Fastlane 2023 thing, you know, the wrestling stuff. Folks were all riled up about it, so I figured I’d give ya my two cents, even if I don’t know all them fancy names.
First off, that there main event, Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso versus them Judgment Day fellas. Boy, oh boy, that was a slobberknocker! Them Judgment Day boys, they’re mean as snakes, always cheatin’ and whatnot. That Rhea Ripley, she’s a tough cookie, and that Dominik fella, he’s just a young punk, always stickin’ his nose where it don’t belong. And don’t even get me started on that JD McDonagh, always causin’ trouble.
But Cody and Jey, they held their own, they did. Cody, he’s tough as nails, and Jey, well, he’s got that fire in his belly. They fought hard, they did. Lots of back and forth, slammin’ and bangin’. I tell ya, it was excitin’! Even this old lady was on the edge of her seat.
Now, them fellas who rate these matches, they gave it some stars. I don’t rightly understand all that star business, but I heard some fella named Dave Meltzer, he give it four and a quarter stars. Said it was a good match. And then there’s somethin’ called a Cagematch, they give it a seven point somethin’. Then there’s somethin’ else called Atletifo, only give it three stars. Who knows, who cares? I just liked watching them fellas go at it.
Then there was that match with Seth Rollins and that Japanese fella, Shinsuke Nakamura. They was fightin’ for that Universal Championship thingamajig. Now, that Nakamura, he’s a strange one, all that grinnin’ and dancin’. But he can fight, that’s for sure. And Seth Rollins, he’s a wild man, always jumpin’ around and whatnot.
- That match was good too, lots of high flyin’ and hard hittin’.
- They was goin’ at it, tooth and nail.
- I liked it, even though I didn’t know who to root for half the time.
Folks online, they were arguin’ about which match was better. Some liked the tag team match, some liked the championship match. I tell ya, it’s all a matter of taste. Like some folks like apple pie, some folks like peach cobbler. Me? I like both! As long as them fellas are puttin’ on a good show, I’m happy.
Now, I ain’t no expert, mind you. I just watch these things for the fun of it. I like the stories they tell, good guys versus bad guys, that sort of thing. Reminds me of them old westerns I used to watch when I was a young’un. Only difference is, these fellas wear fancy tights instead of cowboy hats.
Fastlane 2023, it was a good show overall, I reckon. Plenty of action, plenty of drama. Them wrestlers, they work hard, they do. They put their bodies on the line for our entertainment. And that’s somethin’ to be appreciated, I tell ya. So, if you’re lookin’ for a good time, and you don’t mind a little bit of fake fightin’, then I reckon you’d enjoy this wrestling stuff. It ain’t for everyone, but it sure beats sittin’ around watchin’ paint dry, that’s for sure.
And them ratings, well, they’re just one fella’s opinion, you know? You gotta watch it for yourself and decide what you think. Don’t let some fancy fella tell ya what’s good and what ain’t. You got your own brain, use it!
Anyways, that’s all I gotta say about Fastlane 2023. It was a hoot, and I’m already lookin’ forward to the next one. Maybe I’ll even figure out all them fancy names by then. But don’t hold your breath, I’m an old lady, and my memory ain’t what it used to be!
