Okay, so I’ve been digging into this game, “Fire Emblem Engage,” and let me tell you, the whole recruitment thing is way simpler than I expected. I remember playing “Three Houses” and getting a headache trying to figure out who I could get to join my team. But with “Engage,” it’s a whole different story.
I started the game, you know, just going through the motions, and boom, I already had a few characters on my squad. Alear, obviously, since you start with them, and then this Vander guy, who seems like he’s been around the block a few times. Clanne and Framme joined up pretty early too, they are twins. Didn’t have to do anything special, they just kind of tagged along.
Then I progressed a bit further, and I met Alfred. He’s a prince or something, I think, anyway, he hopped on board without any fuss. Same with Boucheron and Etie, they just kind of showed up and were like, “Hey, can we join?” And I was like, “Sure, why not?”
- Then there’s Celine, Louis, and Chlo, all joined my crew one after another, it’s like a revolving door of new teammates.
- And get this, even Yunaka, who seems all mysterious and like she’s got her own agenda, decided to join up. No questions asked.
Seriously, I didn’t have to jump through any hoops or complete any crazy side quests to get these guys to join. It’s just, bam, they’re in your army. It’s almost too easy. I mean, I’m not complaining, it’s kind of nice to have a full roster without all the drama, but it’s definitely a change of pace from what I’m used to in these types of games.
I kept playing, expecting some kind of catch, like maybe I’d have to bribe them with gold or something, but nope. They just kept joining, one after another. By the time I hit a certain point in the story, my team was stacked. I had more characters than I knew what to do with.
So yeah, that’s my experience with recruitment in “Fire Emblem Engage.” It’s simple, it’s straightforward, and it’s definitely different from what I expected. If you’re looking for a Fire Emblem game where you can build a massive army without much effort, then this is the one for you. Just be prepared to have a lot of characters on your hands, because they’ll be joining your team left and right.
No special requirements
I really want to emphasize again. Compared to “Fire Emblem: Three Houses,” it’s really simple to recruit other units in “Fire Emblem Engage.” There’s no special requirements for this part. Each unit joins either automatically.
