Okay, so I’ve been diving deep into Honkai: Star Rail lately, and let me tell you, figuring out the best relics for Firefly has been a journey. I started out totally clueless, just slapping on whatever had decent stats. Big mistake. My Firefly was hitting like a wet noodle.

First, I scoured the internet – forums, guides, you name it. I found some basic recommendations, but nothing really clicked. It all felt so… generic. So, I decided to do my own testing.
My Firefly Relic Experiment
I farmed a bunch of different relic sets, the usual suspects like the “Thief of Shooting Meteor” and the “Watchmaker, Master of Dream Machinations.” I leveled them up, threw them on Firefly, and headed into battle. I did a load of Simulated Universe runs, some Echo of War battles… basically anything I could find to really push her limits.
- “Thief of Shooting Meteor”: Seemed like a good idea for the Break Effect, right? Nope. It just wasn’t enough. The damage felt underwhelming, and I was struggling to even finish fights.
- “Watchmaker, Master of Dream Machinations”:Also focus Break *’s much better than “Thief of Shooting Meteor” set,but still not very good.
- A Mix of Sets: Okay, this is where things got interesting. I started experimenting with 2-piece bonuses. Like, I tried pairing two pieces of “Thief of Shooting Meteor” with two pieces of something that boosted ATK. It was… better. Still not amazing, but definitely an improvement.
Honestly, the most helpful thing was just paying attention to the stats. I initially focused so much on the set bonuses that I ignored the individual stats on the relics themselves. Once I started prioritizing Break Effect, ATK%, and SPD on every piece, things started to change.
SPD is the very important thing, because of Firefly’s skill mechanism.
After countless runs and way too much trial and error, I finally landed on a combination that felt good. Right now, I’m running a mix of 2-piece sets with crazy good substats. Still, I think I should keep farming.
It’s been a wild ride, but hey, that’s the fun of figuring things out yourself, right? My Firefly is still a work in progress, but she’s definitely packing a much bigger punch now. Good luck with your own Firefly builds!
