So I heard about this thing called the 2023 Cognizant Founders Cup, which sounded interesting, I mean who wouldn’t be intrigued by a golf tournament, right?
I started digging around to find out when and where it was happening. Apparently, it took place from May 11th to 14th. The location? Upper Montclair Country Club in Clifton, New Jersey. That’s just off the New Jersey Turnpike, which is convenient.
Next, I needed to figure out how to actually watch the darn thing. Turns out, Golf Channel and Peacock were the places to go for coverage. Good to know.
I went ahead and marked my calendar so I wouldn’t miss any of the action. I even made a note of the streaming schedule for Thursday. I figured the best way to keep up with all the tournament stuff would be through Golf Channel’s app or website. They have all the latest news and updates right there.
I’m not exactly a hardcore golf follower, but I still wanted to know who ended up winning. It was Jin Young Ko. Sounds like she had a pretty big win at Upper Montclair Country Club. It’s always fun to see who comes out on top in these things.
After the tournament, I stumbled upon this website, Golf Live 24, which had the 2023 Cognizant Founders Cup leaderboard. I’m not sure if I’ll use it much, but it’s nice to have a resource for golf scores and information.
Oh, and get this, I found out that the LPGA Tour will be back at the Bradenton Country Club in 2025 for the Founders Cup. That’s a ways off, but it’s something to look forward to, I guess. I set a reminder on my phone, just in case I’m still interested in golf then.
Anyway, that’s my little adventure into the world of the 2023 Cognizant Founders Cup. It wasn’t exactly life-changing, but it was a decent way to kill some time and learn a bit about a golf tournament.
