Alright, folks, so the other day, I was sitting around, getting ready for my fantasy football draft, and I hit a wall. I needed a killer team name, something that screams “Giants fan!” You know, something that’d make the other guys in the league jealous and maybe a little intimidated.
I started by brainstorming, just throwing out anything that came to mind. I mean, anything related to the Giants, their history, players, whatever. I scribbled down a bunch of stuff on a notepad:
- Big Blue Wrecking Crew
- G-Men Glory
- NYG Dominators
- Eli’s Chosen Few(Maybe this is outdate)
- Saquon’s Squad(If you got him, I guess )
I had these names,I looked at those, and…meh. Nothing really clicked, you know? They were okay, but not the one.
So, I started thinking about inside jokes, funny moments, things only Giants fans would really get. This is gold, I find out. Because it’s unique, it’s personal.
I was thinking something with “Double Bird Salute” or “The Yerrrp” if you know what I mean.
After some messing around, mix and match,I came up with a few more, I like “Giants by a Million”. Classic, a bit cocky, and shows my unwavering faith.I think it’s perfect.
Here’s what I learned from this whole name-finding adventure:
- Start broad, then narrow it down. Just write anything down at first, then pick and choose the best parts.
- Don’t be afraid to get specific. Inside jokes, memes, those make the best, most unique names.
- Think about your league. Are they hardcore fans? Casual? Tailor your name to the audience.
- Say it out loud.Some names looks good on paper,say it out loud you will know if it’s corny.
Picking a fantasy football team name is half the fun, at least before the season starts and the stress of setting my lineups takes over!
