Okay, so, like everyone else, I got caught up in the whole sports card craze a few years back. And of course, Patrick Mahomes was THE guy. So, naturally, I had to get my hands on a 2017 Mahomes rookie card. It became a bit of a mission, honestly.
I started by checking out the local card shops in my area. You know, those small, kinda dusty places crammed with boxes and binders. I spent a couple of weekends rummaging through them. It was fun, bringing back all those childhood memories of collecting, but no luck finding the card.
Next, I took my search online. I spent hours browsing through different collector’s forums and message boards. Saw a lot of “almosts” and some seriously overpriced options. I was starting to get a little discouraged, to be honest.

I kept watching it, checking back every day. Finally, after a couple of weeks, the deal was going smooth. So I pulled the trigger and got it!
When the card arrived, I was like a kid on Christmas morning. It was in perfect, and I couldn’t stop looking at it. It might not be the most valuable card in the world, but it’s mine, and it represents that whole crazy, fun journey of finding it.
