Okay, so I’ve been trying to get better at Valorant, and specifically, I wanted to mess around with the Heat skins. You know, the ones that change as you get kills? Here’s how my little experiment went.

Getting Started
First, I had to actually, you know, get the skins. I opened up Valorant, and went straight to the store. Lucky me, the Heat bundle was there, looking all fiery and tempting. I coughed up the Valorant Points – it wasn’t cheap, I’ll tell you that! – and boom, the skins were mine. I grabbed the whole bundle ’cause why not, right? Gotta have the matching set.
Equipping the Goods
Next up, I went to my collection. Found the Heat skins for the Vandal, Phantom, and Judge (and the melee, of course). I equipped them all, feeling pretty good about myself. They looked awesome, even in their base form, all black and sleek.
Jumping into a Match
I decided to hop into a Deathmatch to see these bad boys in action. Started off with the Vandal. Got a couple of kills, and bam! The gun started glowing a little, getting some orange accents. Pretty cool, I gotta admit. Kept racking up those kills, and the gun just kept getting hotter and hotter, more fiery bits showing up.
- First few kills: Subtle orange glow.
- More kills: More intense orange, some fiery patterns.
- Even MORE kills: Full-on fiery animation, looking like it’s about to melt!
Trying Out the Other Guns
Switched to the Phantom next. Same deal. Started off cool, got hotter with each kill. The Judge was a bit harder to get going in Deathmatch, since it’s, you know, a shotgun. But when I did get those close-range kills, the same fiery transformation happened. Pretty satisfying to see.
The Melee
And of course, I had to try the melee. It’s a karambit, which is already cool. But as you get kills, it gets this awesome fiery trail effect. It’s really flashy, almost distracting, but in a good way. Like, “Hey, look at me, I’m on fire!” …in the game, of course.
My Verdict
Overall, I’m digging the Heat skins. They’re a fun little reward for playing well, and they look fantastic. Are they worth the price? Maybe. It depends on how much you value cosmetics. But for me, seeing my gun transform as I get kills is a pretty neat experience. It is a little bit of a “flex,” but who cares. It’s fun!
