Getting that Camera Right in NCAA 25
Alright, so I jumped into NCAA 25, pretty hyped you know? Got through the initial setup, ready to play some ball. But right away, the default camera angle just felt… off. Couldn’t quite see the field the way I wanted. Felt a bit too zoomed in, maybe? Hard to explain, just didn’t click for me.

So, first thing I did was pause the game. Gotta be a setting for this, right? Went digging through the main menu first. Looked under ‘Settings’, then ‘Game Options’. Found stuff for sliders, rules, AI difficulty, all that jazz. But no specific camera setting leaping out at me. Spent a good few minutes just poking around in there, clicking on different things.
Then I figured, maybe it’s in the ‘Visuals’ or ‘Presentation’ section? Backed out, went looking again. Found some stuff for graphics, replays, scoreboard overlays, but still no main gameplay camera toggle. Getting a little frustrated at this point, thinking maybe they locked it or something stupid. You know how games can be sometimes.
Finally, I decided to just start a quick play game. Figured maybe the option is only available during a game. So, kicked off, and first chance I got, hit pause again. And THERE it was! Right there in the pause menu, plain as day: Camera Angle. Felt kinda dumb for missing it earlier, but hey, found it.
Okay, now the fun part. Started cycling through the options. I think I saw these:
- Standard
- Wide
- Zoom
- Blimp
- Player Lock (maybe? Or something similar)
Tried ‘Wide’ first. Better. Definitely could see more of the field, easier to spot open receivers and running lanes. Then tried ‘Zoom’. Nah, that was worse than the default for me, way too close. ‘Blimp’ view was kinda cool, like watching on TV from high up, but felt a bit disconnected from the actual playing. Didn’t try the player lock one, not really my style.
Ended up sticking with ‘Wide’. It just felt like the best balance. Could see enough of the secondary downfield, but still felt close enough to the action to react properly on defense or make reads on offense. Played a few drives with it, felt much more comfortable.
Made sure to back out of the pause menu properly, didn’t just quit or anything, so the setting would save. Played the rest of that quick game and yeah, huge difference. Feels like I can actually run an offense now without feeling like I’ve got blinders on. So yeah, took a bit of menu hunting, but got it sorted.
