Today, I just tried to join the Tarisland game. What a day, man! I spent almost the whole afternoon just trying to get into the game. First off, I went to their website and tried to sign up. You know, the usual stuff, email, password, blah blah blah. But then, they asked for an invite code. Man, where the heck am I supposed to get that?
I searched all over the internet, forums, social media, and you name it. Some folks were sharing codes, but every time I tried one, it was like “nope, already used.” It felt like trying to find a golden ticket or something. I even tried to see if they had some kind of promotions going on. I tried to join some discord server and see if any people want to share their invite code, but it’s still useless. I think maybe my method is wrong.
Then, I got this not so bright idea to directly ask the game’s customer service. I mean I sent them an email. I wrote like, “Hey, I really wanna try your game, but I don’t have a code. Can you help a brother out?”
Guess what? After waiting for like two hours, I got a reply! It was a generic, automated response about how to obtain an invite code through their official channels. Seriously? That’s what they tell me after I specifically said I didn’t have one? Anyway, I think I have to use this method.
So, I decided to dig deeper into their so-called “official channels.” I reread their website, checked their social media pages again. Finally, I found a small announcement about a giveaway they were doing on their Twitter.
I followed them, retweeted, and did all that jazz. And you know what? I actually got lucky! I received a direct message with a fresh invite code. Finally! I quickly went back to the sign-up page, pasted the code, and boom, I was in!
But, man, what a hassle. It felt like I did a full workout just trying to get into a game. It really was a test to my patience, but the feeling when I finally got the invite code was pretty awesome. Now let me see what’s this game all about.
- First, I signed up on their website.
- Then, I searched for an invite code online but failed.
- Next, I contacted customer service but only got an automated response.
- After that, I found a giveaway on their Twitter and participated.
- Finally, I received an invite code and successfully registered.
Moral of the story?
Be persistent and always look out for those giveaways; sometimes luck is on your side. And don’t expect customer service to solve all your problems. It’s really such a long way to get the code.
