Okay, so let me tell you about getting into these Fortnite Series 3 trading cards. It wasn’t some grand plan, you know? I just kinda saw them advertised somewhere, maybe online, maybe in a store, can’t quite recall exactly. But I thought, “Huh, Fortnite cards, that sounds kinda neat.” I play the game now and then, so why not?

Getting My Hands on Them
So, the next time I was out, I grabbed a couple of those booster packs. Didn’t go crazy, just wanted to see what they were like. Got home, ripped ’em open. It’s always a bit of a rush, that feeling of not knowing what you’ll pull. The card quality felt decent, not flimsy, which was good.
Right away, I noticed there were different types. You got your basic character cards, weapon cards, location cards, stuff like that. Then there were the shiny ones – the holofoils or whatever they call them. Those definitely caught my eye. Pulled a couple of those in the first few packs, which felt like a win.
The Collecting Bug Bites
After those first few packs, I was kinda hooked. Went back and bought a few more a couple of days later. Then maybe a blaster box, one of those ones with a bunch of packs inside. It started building up. You get doubles, of course, lots of doubles. That’s just part of collecting anything, right?
I decided I needed a way to keep track. Just having piles of cards wasn’t working. So, I grabbed one of those simple trading card binders and a bunch of plastic pocket pages. Started sorting them out. I tried organizing by card number, which seemed like the most logical way. Seeing the pages start to fill up was pretty satisfying, gotta admit.
Sorting and Storing
- Got a basic binder.
- Bought clear pocket pages (9-pocket ones).
- Started putting cards in numerical order.
- Put the shiny ones in separate sleeves first, then into the binder page, just for extra care.
- Kept the doubles in a separate box for now. Maybe trade bait?
The Hunt Continues
Now I’m kind of in the thick of it. I look through my binder, see the gaps, and think, “Okay, need to find those.” It makes opening new packs more targeted. You’re not just hoping for cool cards; you’re hunting specific numbers.
Haven’t really gotten into trading with others yet. Mostly just buying packs here and there when I see them. It’s a slow burn kind of collection for me right now. It’s just fun to see familiar characters and items from the game in card form. Simple hobby, really.
So yeah, that’s where I’m at with the Fortnite Series 3 cards. Started casually, now I’ve got a binder going. It’s a fun little side thing to do, opening packs and trying to fill those empty spots in the collection. Nothing too serious, just enjoying the process.
