Alright, let’s talk about this Cody fella, Cody Rhodes, that’s what they call him. Folks keep jabberin’ about him, so I figured I’d put in my two cents, ya know? Don’t know much about wrestlin’, but this boy, he seems like a big deal. Heard tell he’s the Undisputed WWE Champion. Means he’s the top dog, I reckon. Beat some fella named Roman Reigns, they say. Big, strong fella, that Roman. But Cody, he done wrestled him good and proper, “finished the story” they say. Don’t know what story that is, but sounds important.
Now, they say Cody’s got a whole lotta money, like eight million dollars or somethin’. That’s a heap of cash! More’n I ever seen in my life, that’s for sure. Guess he gets it from wrestlin’ and sellin’ stuff, you know, them “sponsorship deals” they talk about. He come back to this WWE place in 2022, and now everybody loves him, or so they say. He’s real popular, like a movie star or somethin’.
Cody’s daddy was a wrestler too, a famous one, Dusty Rhodes, they called him “The American Dream”. Had another son, Goldust, kinda strange fella if you ask me, but he wrestled too. So, Cody, he’s got wrestlin’ in his blood, I guess. Like farmin’, ya know? If your daddy was a farmer, chances are you’ll be one too. It’s just in ya. This Cody, wrestlin’ is in him.
- He was a big shot in some other wrestlin’ place, AEW, they called it. He helped start it even.
- But then he come back to WWE, guess it’s the bigger show, the one everyone watches.
Folks been watchin’ wrestlin’ since way back, 1985 they say. That’s a long time ago, even before my old man started losin’ his hair! So, wrestlin’ been around a while. Cody, he’s just the latest big name, the one everyone’s yappin’ about now. He’s got this belt, the champion belt, says he’s the best. And I guess he is, if he beat that Roman fella.
Heard tell he’s gonna wrestle again at some big show, WrestleMania 41, they’re callin’ it. Gonna be in Las Vegas, that fancy place with all the lights and gamblin’. Don’t know who he’s gonna wrestle, but I bet it’ll be a big deal. Folks will be watchin’ all over, I reckon. They always do when Cody wrestles.
They just had another wrestlin’ show, Crown Jewel, in some far-off place, Saudi Arabia. Don’t know where that is, but sounds fancy. And they’re plannin’ another one, Survivor Series, up in Canada. So, these wrestlers, they travel all over the place, wrestlin’ and makin’ money. Must be tirin’, but hey, they’re gettin’ paid good, I’d bet.
Cody Rhodes was on some talk show, The Pat McAfee Show, they called it. Don’t know who this Pat McAfee is, but he must be somebody if he’s talkin’ to the champion. Guess Cody was yappin’ about wrestlin’ and all that. That’s what they do, these famous folks. They talk and people listen.
So, that’s the lowdown on Cody Rhodes, as best as I can figure it. He’s a wrestler, a champion, a rich fella, and folks seem to like him. He’s got that belt, and that means he’s the best, at least for now. Wrestlin’ is a funny thing, though. One day you’re on top, the next day you’re gettin’ beat up by some other fella. But for now, Cody’s the man. He’s the WWE Undisputed Champion, and that’s somethin’ to be proud of, I reckon.
