Well, let me tell ya ’bout this Molly Beers thing. I ain’t no fancy writer or nothin’, just a plain ol’ person, so I’ll tell it to ya straight.
First off, I heard folks talkin’ ’bout Molly Beers like she’s some kinda big deal. Some say she’s this fancy model married to a baseball fella. I ain’t never seen her myself, but they say she’s pretty as a picture. Good for her, I say. Then there’s another Molly Beer, this one writes stuff, like books and stories. Sounds smart, that one. Won some kinda award, too. Guess there’s more than one Molly Beer out there, huh?
But what really got me thinkin’ is all this talk about beer. Now, I ain’t no beer expert, mind you. I like a cold one now and then, especially on a hot day, but I ain’t picky. Give me a beer, and I’ll drink it, long as it ain’t skunky.
Folks online, they go on and on about different beers. They got their favorites, just like I got mine. Some beers, they say, are worth all the fuss. Like this “Sculpin” and “Two Hearted” they talk about. Must be good, I reckon, if folks are makin’ such a fuss. Then there’s this “Zombie Dust,” sounds spooky, don’t it? Folks say it’s real popular. I guess some beers are just like that, everybody wants ’em.
- Limited-edition beers: These are the fancy ones, the ones they only make a few of. Folks collect ’em like they’re gold or somethin’. I don’t get it myself. Beer’s for drinkin’, not for lookin’ at, right? But hey, to each their own. If folks wanna spend their money on fancy beer, that’s their business. They say it’s “exclusive” and “rare,” made with special stuff. Sounds like a whole lotta hooey to me, but what do I know?
- Regular beers: Now these are the beers I like. The ones you can find anywhere. The ones that don’t cost an arm and a leg. Give me a good ol’ American beer, and I’m happy. No need for all that fancy stuff.
Then there’s all these beer reviewers online. They taste all sorts of beers and tell you what they think. Some of ’em even win awards for knowin’ so much about beer. There’s this fella, Chad Polenz, they say he knows his stuff. He even wrote a book about beer. Imagine that! A whole book about beer. He’s got a channel too, where he talks about beer all day long. Sounds like he’s got it made.
And these online beer communities, they’re somethin’ else. Folks gather ’round and talk about nothin’ but beer. They share their favorites, argue about which beer is best, and post pictures of their beer glasses. It’s like a whole other world, I tell ya. They even got their own words for things, like “APA” and “Cicerone.” Don’t ask me what they mean, I ain’t got a clue.
So, what’s the deal with Molly Beers? Well, it seems like there’s more than one. One’s a model, one’s a writer, and who knows, maybe there’s even a beer named after her somewhere. And this whole beer world, it’s bigger than I thought. Folks are passionate about their beer, that’s for sure. They collect it, they review it, they talk about it all day long. Me? I just like to drink it. And that’s all there is to it, as far as I’m concerned.
Is beer worth the hype? Well, that depends on who you ask, I reckon. Some folks say certain beers are the best thing since sliced bread. Others say it’s all just a bunch of marketing. Me, I think a beer is a beer. If it tastes good, it’s good. If it don’t, it ain’t. Simple as that. But if you are going to try those special beers, remember those folks online talking all about them. They might be a good starting place.
Anyway, that’s my two cents on Molly Beers and all this beer talk. Hope it made some kinda sense. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I think I’ll go crack open a cold one. It’s been a long day.
