Okay, so I’ve been seeing this Jake Paul haircut everywhere lately, and I finally decided to give it a shot. I mean, why not? It looked pretty simple, and I was getting tired of my usual style.

First, I watched a bunch of videos online. Most of them were just showing off the style, not really explaining how to get it. But I pieced together enough info to get started.
The Prep
- Washed my hair. Gotta start with a clean slate, you know?
- Dried it mostly, but left it a little damp. This makes it easier to work with.
- Grabbed my clippers and some styling product – I used a matte clay for that textured look.
The Cut
This is where it got a little tricky. I started with the sides and back. I used a number 2 guard on my clippers, going pretty high up. I think it is so-called fade, but I was not doing a perfect fade, more just a short, even length all around.
The top was the real challenge. I left it pretty long, maybe like 4-5 inches? Then, I just started trimming bits and pieces, trying to get that messy, textured look. I made sure to point-cut the ends, which means cutting into the hair instead of straight across. This helps it look more natural and less like a helmet, I guess.
The Style
After I was (mostly) happy with the cut, I worked in some of that matte clay. I focused on the top, scrunching it up and kind of pushing it forward and to the side. The idea is to make it look messy but intentional, right?
Honestly, it took some fiddling. I kept messing with it, adding a little more product here and there, until I got it to look somewhat like the pictures I’d seen. It is ok for me.
I wouldn’t say it’s a perfect Jake Paul replica, but it’s close enough! And hey, it’s a fun change. I’m still getting used to it, but I think I like it. We’ll see how long I keep it before I get bored and try something else. That is my style!
