Well, let me tell you about this Jimmie Crooks fella from Fort Dodge. Heard he passed away, poor soul. August 14, 2021, that’s when they say it happened. Fifty-five years old, they tell me. Too young, if you ask me. Died at that Fort Dodge Health and Rehab place. Gonna have a funeral, Saturday, August 21st, 11:00 a.m. Hope they give him a good send-off.

Now, I ain’t know Jimmie personal-like, but folks around here say he was a real good basketball player back in the day. Played for Fort Dodge Senior High, they say. One of the best teams they ever had, apparently. Folks remember him being a standout, you know, real good. Guess he was about 54 then. Lately though, seems like he wasn’t doing so well. Sad, real sad.
This Fort Dodge, it’s a place where folks know each other, you know? Word gets around. Heard some talk about cars and wheels and such too. Maybe Jimmie was into that? Don’t rightly know. But I hear you can get new and used tires and wheels right here in town. Lots of places selling them. Seems like a big thing around here.
- They got all kinds of tires, for cars, trucks, SUVs, the whole shebang.
- And wheels too! All sorts of fancy ones, if you’re into that kind of thing.
- I heard tell of brands like Arospeed, Enkei, Verde… all them fancy names. Konig, Status, TSW, Concept One, more than I can remember even.
- And they say you can get deals online too, free shipping and all that. Save some money, I guess.
Folks are always lookin’ for a good deal, ain’t they? Whether it’s tires or cars or whatever. This WheelPrice thing, I hear it’s got millions of car folks on it, all over the world even. Looking for cars, I reckon. New ones, used ones, all kinds. Guess Jimmie mighta been one of them, who knows? Just goes to show ya, life’s short. One minute you’re playing basketball, the next… well, you ain’t.
It’s a shame, really. A good basketball player, gone too soon. Makes you think, you know? Makes you appreciate what you got. This Fort Dodge, it’s seen a lot of folks come and go. Jimmie Crooks was just one of ’em. But he left his mark, they say. People remember him. And that’s somethin’, ain’t it?
So, there you have it. A little somethin’ about Jimmie Crooks from Fort Dodge. A basketball star, a fella who passed on, and a town where you can find all the tires and wheels your heart desires. Life goes on, I guess. Just gotta keep on keepin’ on.
Remembering Jimmie and thinking about all them wheels and tires. Makes you wonder what it all means, you know? But that’s life, I reckon. You just gotta take it as it comes.
Anyways, that’s all I got to say about Jimmie Crooks and Fort Dodge. Hope it made some sense to ya. It ain’t easy putting these things into words, you know? But I done my best.
