So, I’ve been eyeing these “Rookie of the Year” Air Jordan 1s for a while now. I mean, who wouldn’t be? They’re a total throwback to when Michael Jordan won the Rookie of the Year award. I finally decided to grab a pair and wanted to share the whole experience.
First off, I started digging around for some info. Turns out, these kicks are a nod to MJ’s big win way back when, and they released a version of them back in 2018. These new ones, the Air Jordan 1 Lows, dropped just recently, on January 4th. I was hyped!
Getting my hands on them was the next step. I checked out some places, and they were all sold out. I had to be a little patient, but finally I scored a pair.
When I finally unboxed them, man, they looked even better in person. The color scheme is just awesome and that leather feels so good. I slipped them on, and they were comfy as heck. They’re definitely more of a casual, everyday kind of shoe, compared to the high-tops. They’re not too flashy, just a clean, classic look that you can rock with pretty much anything.
- Styling them was the fun part.
-
I tried them on with jeans, joggers, even some shorts.
-
They looked great with everything. They’re just so versatile.
I’ve been wearing them around for a few days now, and I’ve gotten a ton of compliments. They’re definitely a head-turner, but in a subtle way. They’re not screaming for attention like the high-tops, which I actually prefer.
The Verdict
If you’re thinking about copping a pair of these “Rookie of the Year” lows, I say go for it. They’re a great addition to any sneaker collection, especially if you’re a Jordan fan. They’re comfy, stylish, and they’ve got that cool history behind them. Plus, they’re just a solid pair of shoes you can wear every day without looking like you’re trying too hard. Just be prepared to do some searching – they’re pretty popular!
