Alright, listen up, y’all. Let’s talk about this Kevin Durant fella and his rating in that there 2K24 video game. I ain’t no gamer, mind you, but my grandson, he’s always yappin’ about it. So, I figured, why not learn a little somethin’?
First off, they tell me this Kevin guy, he’s a real good basketball player. Plays for the Phoenix Suns now, I hear. They got some other good players too, like this Devin Booker. The game, it gives these fellas numbers, ratings they call ’em, to show how good they are. Like, the better you play, the higher your number.
Now, Kevin, he got a 96 rating in the game this year. That’s mighty high, let me tell ya. Means he’s one of the best in the whole league. There’s only a couple other fellas with a rating that high, like that LeBron fella and that Joel Embiid guy. My grandson says they’re real good too, always arguin’ about who’s better.

Seems like this Kevin, he had a good season last year. Scored a bunch of points, they say. And he’s tall too, like 6 foot 10 or somethin’. That’s taller than my old barn, I reckon. He makes a whole lotta money playin’ basketball, more than I ever seen in my whole life, that’s for sure.
They also say this new 2K game, it looks real fancy. They got this thing called ProPLAY, where they watch real basketball games and make the players in the game move just like they do in real life. That sounds mighty clever to me. My grandson keeps talkin’ about how realistic the game is, all the new moves an’ such, I just nod along.
But even though Kevin’s real good, he ain’t got a perfect rating, a 99 they call it. Only a few fellas ever got that high. Guess you gotta be somethin’ real special to get a 99. Still, a 96 ain’t nothin’ to sneeze at. He’s still one of the top dogs, no doubt about it.
My grandson, he was tellin’ me that the Suns are gonna be a real fun team to play with in the game cause they got so many good shooters. Kevin, Devin, all them fellas, they can just chuck the ball from anywhere and it goes in. Sounds like a hoot to watch, even for an old lady like me.
So, there you have it. Kevin Durant, 96 rating in 2K24. He’s a good player, makes a lot of money, and plays for a team that’s supposed to be real good in the game. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. All this talk about basketball has made me hungry.
From what I hear, this Kevin fella is a real workhorse. Always practicin’, they say. That’s how you get good at somethin’, I always told my kids. Put in the time, and you’ll see the results. Seems like Kevin took that advice to heart. Good for him, I say.
Anyways, that’s about all I know about this Kevin Durant and his 2k24 ratin’. It’s a high number, he’s a good player, and that’s that. Don’t go askin’ me no more questions about it, cause my head’s already spinnin’.
One last thing though, they changed how the players move in the game this year to make it look more real. That’s what my grandson was goin on’ and on about anyways. Said it makes the game more fun. I guess that’s a good thing. Always makin’ things better, these young folks.
