Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about them Kia Tigers, ya know, the baseball team? They been playin’ ball, and wouldn’t you know it, they been winnin’ some games!
The Kia Tigers done won somethin’ big! Yup, they call it the Korean Series, somethin’ like the World Series we got here, but over in Korea. They played hard, real hard, and beat them other fellas. Beat ‘em good, I tell ya.
I heard on the radio, or maybe it was the TV, can’t rightly remember, they won in Game 5. That means they was fightin’ tooth and nail, back and forth, and then bam! They knocked them other guys right outta the park! It was a real nail-biter, they say. Folks was cheerin’ and hollerin’, just like when we win the pie eatin’ contest at the county fair.
- They beat the Samsung Lions, that’s who they beat. Heard them Lions are pretty good too, but the Tigers, well, they was just better that day.
- Scored a whole bunch of points, too. Nine to two, one time. Seven to five another. That’s a lot of points, even I know that much. Sounds like they was hittin’ that ball real good.
Now, I ain’t no fancy baseball expert, ya hear? But I know when a team’s doin’ good. And them Tigers, they been doin’ real good lately. Heard they even won some games comin’ from behind. That’s what they call a “comeback victory”, fancy folks say. Means they was losin’, but then they started hittin’ and runnin’ and scorin’ and then, boom! They won!
They won the whole dang thing, the Korean Series, for the twelfth time! And guess what? They ain’t won it since 2017, so this is a big deal, ya know? Folks over there in Korea must be goin’ hog wild! Probably dancin’ in the streets and eatin’ good food, just like we do when somethin’ good happens around here.
This happened back in October, I think. Yeah, October 2024. They was playin’ all through the year, though. I seen ‘em on the TV sometimes, hittin’ and runnin’. Always wearin’ them fancy uniforms, with the stripes and all. Looked mighty sharp, I tell ya.
They got some good players, them Tigers do. Can’t rightly remember their names, all sound foreign to me. But they sure can hit that ball and run fast. Reminds me of them young fellas tryin’ to catch the greased pig at the fair. All slippin’ and slidin’ and movin’ real fast.
So, if you’re lookin’ for a good baseball team to root for, them Kia Tigers might just be the ticket. They winnin’, and that’s what counts, right? Ain’t nothin’ better than a winnin’ team, ‘cept maybe a good piece of apple pie, warm from the oven.
And you can always find out how they’re doin’. They got them “live scores” they call it. Means you can see the score while the game is happenin’. Fancy stuff, I tell ya. Back in my day, you had to wait for the newspaper to come out to know who won. But times are changin’, I guess.
Anyway, that’s all I got to say about them Kia Tigers. They’re a good team, they won a big game, and folks are happy. And that’s a good thing, ya know? Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on my biscuits. Don’t want ‘em burnin’.
So remember the name, Kia Tigers. They’re winners, and that’s the truth! And if you see ‘em playin’ on the TV, maybe you should watch. Might just see somethin’ special.
