Okay, so I’ve been messing around with Kindred ADC lately, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. I wasn’t sure about it at first, you know? Kindred’s usually in the jungle, doing their thing, but I figured, why not try something different?
So, I started off pretty shaky. Level one Kindred as an ADC? Oof. It’s not exactly a power spike. They feel kinda weak early on, especially compared to other ADCs. Their range is short, and even with their Q for dodging and some auto-attack resets, it felt like I was losing most of the short trades in the early game. I was basically just trying to survive, farm up, and not feed the enemy bot lane.
I experimented with a few different builds and rune setups. At first, I tried the usual crit build, but it felt a bit too slow. I wanted to feel that power spike a bit earlier, you know? So, I started messing around with a bruiser-ish build, and honestly, it felt a lot better. I went with Conqueror as my keystone, and it really helped with those longer trades.
-
Early Game: Play safe, farm up, and avoid taking bad trades. Kindred’s early game is pretty weak, so the goal is to survive and scale.
-
Mid Game: This is where things start to get interesting. With a few items, Kindred can start to duel and skirmish effectively. I usually build Trinity Force first, because it gives you a bit of everything, the damage, the move speed, the attack speed. It also help me to keep enemy down and build up myself.
-
Late Game: Once you hit your core items, Kindred becomes a real threat. Your damage output is insane, and you can shred through tanks and squishies alike. I realized I can blast enemy into oblivion. At that time, I was ready to rule the game.
For runes, I usually go:
-
Primary (Precision):
-
Conqueror
-
Triumph
-
Legend: Alacrity
-
Coup de Grace
-
Secondary (Domination):
-
Sudden Impact
-
Treasure Hunter
For the build, it usually goes something like this:
-
Starting Items: Doran’s Blade, Health Potion
-
First Back: Sheen, Boots, maybe a Control Ward if I’m feeling fancy
-
Core Items: Trinity Force, Plated Steelcaps, Blade of the Ruined King
-
Situational Items: Wit’s End, Guardian Angel, Death’s Dance, you know, the usual stuff, just depends on what the enemy team is looking like
One thing I learned the hard way is that Kindred ADC is not about those early kills. It’s about playing smart, controlling the lane, and scaling up. I tried to go for those early all-ins a few times, and let’s just say it didn’t end well. It’s not my playstyle. Instead, I want to control the game.
I also tried a few different matchups. Some were easier than others. Like, Yasuo, Xayah, and Seraphine felt pretty manageable. But then there were champs like Nilah and Hwei, who just wrecked me. They just outranged me or had too much burst. It was rough.
So yeah, that’s my experience with Kindred ADC so far. It’s definitely not for everyone, but if you’re looking for something different and you’re willing to put in the time to learn it, it can be pretty rewarding. Just remember to play it cool, scale up, and then unleash the beast in the mid to late game. It’s a fun, different way to play, and I’m definitely going to keep messing around with it.
