Okay, so I’ve been seeing “Koepka Harman” all over my golf feeds and decided to figure out what the fuss was about. I’m no pro, but I love hitting the links and getting better, so I figured, why not try to break down their swings and see if I can learn anything?

Digging into Their Swings
First, I pulled up a bunch of videos. You know, slow-motion stuff, different angles, the whole nine yards. I wanted to really see what these guys were doing.
- Koepka: Man, that guy is built like a tank. What stood out to me was his powerful stance and how stable he is throughout the swing. It’s like he’s rooted to the ground.
- Harman: He’s a lefty, which is always interesting to watch. His swing seemed smoother, maybe a bit more compact than Koepka’s. Less raw power, but definitely more finesse.
My Practice Session
Armed with my newfound “knowledge,” I headed to the driving range. My goal wasn’t to become them, but to maybe pick up a few things.
I am not very good at golf and am still a very new player. I tried to widen my stance a bit like Koepka, focusing on keeping my lower body solid. Honestly, it felt weird at first, but I did feel like I had a bit more control. Then, I focused on getting a better pose. I did it, but I need more practice, I think.
With Harman in mind, I worked on smoothing out my tempo. I tend to rush things, so I focused on the backswing and follow-through. This was super helpful after some practices! It’s all about finding that rhythm.
The Results (So Far)
Okay, I’m not suddenly hitting 300-yard drives. But, I did notice a few things:
- My shots felt a little more consistent. Maybe it was the wider stance, maybe it was the smoother swing, or maybe it was just the placebo effect. Whatever, I’ll take it!
- I definitely felt like I had more control over the club. Less wild slices (though those still happen, let’s be real).
It’s a work in progress, of course. Golf is hard! But I’m going to keep practicing these things and see if I can keep improving. Maybe next time, I’ll tackle their short game. Wish me luck!
