Okay, so today I decided to dive into predicting the Leicester City vs Sunderland match. It’s something I’ve been meaning to try out for a while, and I figured, why not document the whole messy process?

First, I started by gathering some information. I opened a few browser tabs – one for recent Leicester City news, another for Sunderland, and a third for general football stats websites. I just wanted to get a feel for how both teams have been performing lately.
My Research process
- Checked out recent match results for both teams. Who have they played? Did they win, lose, or draw?
- Looked for any news about injuries or suspensions. Key players missing can really change the game.
- I looked at the league table. Where are they both sitting? This gives an idea of their overall form this season.
I went through the data, I started to form a basic idea. Both teams seemed, you know, pretty up and down. No clear, consistent wins that would make this an easy prediction.
Then I thought I tried some statistical *, my “analysis” was pretty basic. I checked out things like:
- Goals scored: Are they high-scoring teams, or do they tend to play defensively?
- Home vs Away: Do either of them have a significant advantage when playing at home versus away?
After I did the research and analysis, I’m now making my prediction. This is where the gut feeling really came in. Even with all the data, it’s still a bit of a guess, right? Based on everything I’ve looked at,I decided to predict. This process make me get the final result.
So that was my process! Pretty simple, really. It was more about getting a general feel for the teams and the match than any deep statistical diving. I’ll be interested to see how my prediction turns out!
