Okay, so I’ve been following the Good Good Desert Classic, and I wanted to figure out how to easily track the leaderboard. It’s not like your typical PGA event, so finding a constantly updated source was a little tricky. Here’s what I did:

First, I hit up the usual spots – you know, just Googled it. I typed in “Good Good Desert Classic leaderboard” hoping for a quick link. I got some results, but many were just news articles or older videos.
Then, I remembered – YouTube! Good Good has their own channel, and they’re usually pretty good about posting updates. I jumped over to YouTube and searched for “Good Good Desert Classic” within their channel.
- This was better. I found videos of the rounds themselves, which is cool, but not exactly a live leaderboard. I could watch, but I wanted something I could glance at.
- I scanned the video descriptions and comments. Sometimes, people will post updates in the comments, especially during the live rounds. It’s not ideal, but it’s something.
Next, I thought about social media. I went to their accounts, and went through their recent posts. I scrolled through the feeds looking for anything that looked like a leaderboard update or even just mentions of current scores.
Then, went to the players’ accounts. This is another decent place to get small updates, and sometimes, it has details from the player’s perspective.
Finally I realized the best way to truly create the leaderboard is just to watch the rounds, take the infor from the players, and social media to piece all the info by my own. I opened up a simple spreadsheet.
- Column 1: Player Name
- Column 2: Round 1 Score
- Column 3: Round 2 Score (and so on)
- Column 4: Total Score
I started filling it in as I watched the videos. Whenever a player finished a hole, I’d jot down their score. It’s a bit manual, but it gave me exactly what I wanted – a custom, up-to-date leaderboard!
It’s a little bit of work, combining info from YouTube videos, social media, and maybe even some quick Googling for individual player stats if I missed something, then putting all of them into my own spreadsheet to get the Classic leaderboard. That’s the best way for me to keep tracking!
