Alright, so today I stumbled upon this little game called “LoLdle”, apparently it’s some kind of guessing game based on League of Legends, which I’ve been playing on and off for years. Figured I’d give it a shot and see what the fuss is about. Let me tell you, it got me hooked faster than a Blitzcrank pull.
First off, I launched the game and was greeted with four different modes: Classic, Quote, Ability, and Emoji. Classic seemed like the place to start, so I clicked on that. The goal here is to guess the champion based on a bunch of characteristics.
- Gender
- Position(s)
- Species
- Resource
- Range type
- Region(s)
- Release year
I typed in my first guess, not really knowing what to expect, and boom, I got a few things right. It showed me which characteristics matched and which didn’t. So, I started narrowing it down, trying different champions based on the clues. It took a few tries, but I finally guessed it right. What a rush!
Feeling confident, I moved on to the Quote mode. This one gives you a voice line from a champion, and you have to figure out who said it. Some of these quotes are super iconic, so I recognized a few right away. Others were trickier, especially the ones from champions I don’t play often. But hey, that’s part of the fun, right? I spent a good chunk of time just listening to the voice lines and racking my brain. Eventually, I got that one too.
Then Came The Abilities
Next up was the Ability mode. This one shows you a picture of a champion’s ability icon, and you gotta guess which champion and which ability it is. This was probably the hardest one for me, ’cause some of these icons look pretty similar. I really had to study the details, think about the colors, the shapes, everything. It was a real test of my LoL knowledge. After a bunch of attempts and some serious head-scratching, I finally cracked it.
Last but not least, the Emoji mode. This one gives you a set of emojis that represent a champion, and you have to guess who it is. Some of these were pretty straightforward, but others were super cryptic. I had to really think outside the box for some of these. I bounced ideas off my friends who also play League, and we had a blast trying to figure them out together. Finally, I completed this mode as well.
All in all, I had a ton of fun with LoLdle today. It’s a great way to test your League of Legends knowledge and kill some time. I can definitely see myself playing this more often. If you’re a LoL fan, you should definitely check it out!
