Okay, so I’ve been hyped about NCAA Football coming back, and I was itching to get my hands on College Football 25. But here’s the thing – I’m a PC gamer. I don’t own a PS5 or an Xbox Series X/S, and honestly, I wasn’t planning on buying a new console just for one game. So, I started looking into whether I could play this thing on my PC.
First, I checked the official EA Sports website, and, nope, no PC version listed. Just PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. That was a bummer. I mean, Madden is on PC, so I thought College Football 25 might be, too. No luck there.
Then, I thought, “What about that old NCAA Football 14? Can I play that on PC?” Turns out, yeah, you can, but you need an emulator. I saw some folks talking about Xbox emulators, but the consensus seemed to be that they’re not great. So, the recommendation was to go with a PS3 emulator, specifically RPCS3. I downloaded it and gave it a shot, It wasn’t College Football 25, but hey, it was something. It brought back some good memories of playing NCAA Football back in the day.
I also stumbled upon some discussions about streaming. Apparently, there’s no way to stream College Football 25 to PC, not even through Xbox Play Anywhere. So that option was out the window, too.
After digging around a bit more, I realized that playing College Football 25 on PC just isn’t in the cards right now. EA hasn’t mentioned any plans to release it on PC, and it’s not included in EA Play Pro, either.
So, what did I do? Well, I’m still playing around with the emulator for now. It’s not perfect, but it satisfies my college football fix. Plus, I’ve been watching gameplay videos of College Football 25 on YouTube to get a feel for the new game. It looks awesome, but I’m not ready to drop a bunch of money on a new console just yet.
Maybe down the line, if College Football 25 becomes a huge hit and there’s enough demand, EA might consider a PC version. But until then, I’ll stick to my emulated NCAA Football 14 and keep dreaming of the day I can finally play College Football 25 on my PC.
- Checked EA’s website: No PC version, only PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
- Tried an emulator: Downloaded RPCS3 to play NCAA Football 14.
- Looked into streaming: No options to stream College Football 25 to PC.
- Searched for news: No plans for a PC release from EA.
- Sticking to the emulator: Playing NCAA Football 14 on RPCS3 for now.
My Plan
For now, I’ll keep playing NCAA Football 14 on the emulator and watch gameplay videos of College Football 25. If a PC version is announced, I’ll be all over it. Otherwise, I might consider getting a console in the future if I really can’t resist anymore.
