Okay, so “lordly trashcan radiant feldspar” – what the heck was I even thinking when I named this project? I guess I was going for something that sounded kinda fancy but also kinda junky. Anyway, here’s how I went about making this… whatever it is.

First, I gathered my materials. This was mostly just stuff I had lying around:
- An old trashcan – the “lordly” part, I suppose. It was one of those metal ones, kinda rusty but still solid.
- Some broken bits of pottery – that’s where the “feldspar” comes in, I guess. Feldspar is in a lot of ceramics, right?
- A string of LED fairy lights – the “radiant” bit. These were leftover from Christmas.
Then I started messing around. I cleaned the trashcan as best I could – didn’t want it to be too gross. Then I arranged the pottery shards inside. I wanted them to catch the light, so I played around with different positions until I was happy.
Next, I took the fairy lights and carefully wound them around the pottery, making sure the little bulbs were poking out. I wanted it to look kinda magical, like glowing gems or something.
The Hardest Part
The trickiest bit was figuring out how to power the lights. I didn’t want wires trailing everywhere, so I decided to use a battery pack. I tucked it into the bottom of the trashcan, under the pottery, so it was hidden away.
Finally, I flipped the switch, and… boom! “Lordly trashcan radiant feldspar” was born. It actually looked pretty cool, especially in the dark. It’s kinda like a weird, upcycled nightlight. Or maybe a really bizarre art piece. Whatever it is, I made it, and I’m kinda proud of it.
