Okay, so I saw this “Mayer Slayer” shirt online and thought, “I gotta have that!” It wasn’t available anywhere, though, so I decided to make my own. Here’s how it went down:

Finding the Right Shirt
First, I needed a blank shirt. I hit up the local craft store – you know, the one with all the fabric and stuff. I wanted something comfy, so I grabbed a plain white cotton t-shirt. Make sure it’s the right size! Nothing worse than a shirt that’s too tight or too baggy.
Creating the Design
Next up, the design. I’m no artist, but I can handle some basic text. I opened up a simple image editing program on my computer. MS Paint would even work. I found a font I liked – something bold and a little bit edgy – and typed out “MAYER SLAYER”. Played around with the size and spacing until it looked good.
Printing and Transferring
- I bought some of that iron-on transfer paper. You know, the kind you print on with a regular inkjet printer?
- Printed my design onto the transfer paper. Important: Remember to mirror the image! If you don’t, the text will be backwards on the shirt.
- Then, I carefully cut out the design, leaving a little bit of space around the letters.
Ironing It On
This is where things can get tricky. I followed the instructions on the transfer paper package exactly.
Preheated my iron to the right setting.
Placed the design face down on the shirt, making sure it was centered.
Ironed over it, applying firm, even pressure. Took my time, making sure every part of the design got enough heat. It is best to put down some parchment paper between the design and iron.
The Big Reveal
After letting it cool down completely (patience is key!), I peeled off the backing paper. And… boom! There it was, my very own “Mayer Slayer” shirt. It actually looked pretty awesome!

It wasn’t perfect, a little off-center, maybe, but hey, I made it myself! That’s the cool part. Plus, now I have a unique shirt that nobody else has. Total win!
