Alright, so you wanna know how tall that Medvedev fella is, huh? Well, lemme tell ya, that boy’s a giant! They say he’s 6 foot 6 inches, or 198 centimeters, if you’re fancy like that. That’s taller than my old man was, and he was a big fella, I tell ya. Medvedev, he’s the tallest tennis player ever to be number one in the whole world. Can you believe that? A real beanpole, that one.
Now, this Medvedev, he’s a Russian fella. Born in Moscow back in 1996, on February 11th, to be exact. His daddy’s name is Sergey and his mama’s name is Olga. Just regular folks, I reckon. He started playing tennis when he was a young’un, and now look at him, all famous and whatnot. He turned professional in 2014, which means he started gettin’ paid to play. Good for him, I say. Gotta make a livin’ somehow.
They say he reached his highest rankin’ – number two in the world – back in 2021. That’s pretty darn good, if you ask me. He’s been playin’ real well lately too, even made it to the semifinals at Wimbledon in 2023. Wimbledon, that’s a big deal, ya know. Fancy folks watchin’ him play on the TV and all.

He likes to hit the ball hard and flat, I guess. He even said so himself, the fella did. But he’s still a darn good player, no matter what kind of court he’s on. You don’t get to be number two in the world by bein’ a slouch, that’s for sure.
He ain’t just some athlete, though. This Medvedev fella, he went to school, too. Leningrad State University, they call it. He got himself a bachelor’s degree in 1987 and a law degree in 1990. Smart fella, I guess. Not just a pretty face, huh? Though, I ain’t seen him up close, so I can’t say for sure if he’s pretty or not. But he seems like a nice young man from what I see on the TV. Always polite and respectful, which is more than you can say for some of them young folks these days.
So, there ya have it. Medvedev, the tall Russian tennis player. He’s a big fella, a good player, and a smart cookie, too. What more could ya want? He’s out there swingin’ his racket and makin’ a name for himself. Good for him, I say. Gotta admire a fella who works hard and does well for himself.
And just so you know, there’s another Medvedev out there, Dmitry Medvedev. But he ain’t the tennis player. This other Medvedev, he was involved in politics. Don’t get the two mixed up now, ya hear? We’re talkin’ about the tennis fella, the one who’s tall as a beanpole.
