Okay, so, I got this idea to do a “Michigan versus Everybody” thing. It sounded cool, you know, being all about that Michigan pride. First, I started by brainstorming what exactly I wanted this project to be. Was it a video, a blog post, a series of social media updates? I decided to go with a series of videos because that’s what I’m into right now.
Then, I began writing down all the things I love about Michigan. The list got pretty long: the Great Lakes, the awesome food scene, the sports teams, and even the crazy weather. After that, I started to think about how I could show these things in my videos.
Planning the Videos
- Figured out I needed some good music that screams “Michigan.” I spent hours listening to local bands and finally picked a few tracks that I thought would fit.
- Made a list of places I wanted to film. I wanted to cover everything from Detroit to the Upper Peninsula.
- Started sketching out a rough storyboard for each video. I’m no artist, but it helped me visualize what I was going for.
Next up, I had to get some gear. Luckily, I already had a decent camera, but I needed a better microphone and some lighting. I did some research, read a bunch of reviews, and ended up buying a few things online. Nothing too fancy, just enough to make the videos look and sound good.
Once the gear arrived, I started filming. This was the fun part. I drove all over the state, met some interesting people, and ate a lot of good food. I even got caught in a snowstorm up north, which made for some dramatic footage.
After filming, I started the editing process. This was a bit of a learning curve for me. I watched a bunch of tutorials online, tried out different editing software, and eventually found one that I liked. It took a while to get the hang of it, but I managed to put together some videos that I was actually proud of.
Finally, I uploaded the videos to my channel and shared them with the world. It was a lot of work, but seeing the positive response from people made it all worthwhile. A bunch of people seemed to like and relate to it, and I got asked to do more stuff like this. People love Michigan, man! Go Blue!
