Okay, so I’ve been getting into sports betting lately, specifically MLB home run props. It’s been a rollercoaster, let me tell you! Today, I decided to really dive in and document my whole process. Maybe it’ll help someone else, or maybe I’ll look back on this and laugh at my rookie mistakes. Either way, here we go.

Getting Started – Feeling Overwhelmed
First thing I did was stare blankly at my computer screen. Seriously, where do you even start? There are so many games, so many players… I felt totally lost. I grabbed a coffee – strong one – and started Googling. I needed a plan, some kind of strategy, even if it was a really basic one.
Finding Resources
I ended up looking at some of the top MLB sites, checking out player stats, recent game results, and of course, trying to find some expert picks. I wasn’t about to just throw my money away blindly. I needed some kind of “edge,” even if that edge was just borrowing someone else’s research for the day!
Data down
I mainly use serveral websites to look up the data, and write down on my Note.
Making My Picks (The Hard Part)
This is where things got tricky. I had a bunch of names, stats, and opinions swirling around in my head. I tried to focus on a few key things:
- Hot Streaks: Who’s been hitting well lately? Baseball is a game of streaks, right?
- Matchups: Who’s pitching? Is the player historically good against that pitcher?
- Ballpark Factors:Which field I need to focuse on.
- Gut Feeling: Okay, this isn’t very scientific, but sometimes you just get a feeling about a player.
I narrowed it down to three players. I won’t name names here, because, well, I don’t want to jinx anything! But I felt pretty good about my choices. A mix of solid data and a little bit of “I just think this guy is due for a big game.”
Placing the Bets (Fingers Crossed)
I went to my usual betting site , logged in, and found the home run prop bets. I put down a small amount on each of my three picks. Nothing crazy, just enough to make things interesting. I’m still learning, so I’m not about to bet the farm (or even a small vegetable garden) on this.
Waiting and Watching (The Agony)
Now comes the hardest part: waiting. I’ll be glued to the games tonight, refreshing the scores every few minutes. It’s a weird mix of excitement and anxiety. Did I make the right calls? Will my “gut feeling” pay off? Only time will tell.
The Results (Hopefully Good News)
I’ll update this later tonight with the results. Win or lose, it’s been a learning experience. And hey, even if I don’t hit any home runs with my picks, at least I had a little fun and learned something new about baseball. That’s gotta count for something, right?

Update will be add here!
