Okay, so I’ve been wanting to make a map of all the Major League Baseball parks for a while now. I finally got around to it, and I figured I’d share how I did it, ’cause it was kinda fun and maybe someone else will dig it.

First, I needed a list of all the parks. You know I just went and found a list of all the current MLB stadiums online, and copy pasted into a text file, nothing fancy at all.
Gathering the Data
- Stadium Names: I got all current 30 of those.
- Location: City and State.
I decided that just name of parks is not enough.I wanted to put them on the *, I needed to find the place of each park.
Finding Locations
Then, the tedious part. I searched for each park one by one and got City and State, and put it next to the stadium name in my text file.
I’ve got my little text file with all 30 MLB stadiums and their locations, looking all neat and organized.
Making the Map
Now to put them into a map, I fired up a map, and started adding those parks. I manually added the city, state one by one that I had found, So simple, right?
After I put all the data,I gave it a quick look-over, making sure I didn’t put any stadium in the wrong spot.
Finally done! Got all the MLB parks pinned. It was kind of a manual process, but, you know I enjoyed it.
