Alright, so I wanted to get the latest rosters in MLB The Show 23. I’ve been playing for a while, but you know, things change fast in baseball, and I wanted my game to reflect that. It’s not super complicated, but I figured I’d walk through what I did, just in case anyone else is wondering.

Firing Up the Game
First things first, I turned on my console and booted up MLB The Show 23. Pretty standard stuff, got to the main menu.
Finding the Roster Section
Okay, this is where it took me a second to remember. From the main menu, I went to the top right corner, to that little gear icon, you know, the setting one. I clicked on that.
- I Saw a bunch of options, but I was looking for “File Management”.
Into the Data Utility
In “File Management “, I found the “Roster Update”. I clicked that one.
Downloading the Goods
The game automatically started checking for the latest roster update. It took a little bit, depending on my internet connection I guess. Just had to be patient. Once it found the update, I just hit the button to download and install it.
Applying the Changes
After the update, it would ask to restart the game and I did it to apply these updates. I clicked yes and restart it.
Back in Action
Once everything was downloaded and installed, I went back into Franchise mode, and boom, all the player ratings and team lineups were up to date. It’s pretty cool seeing the game reflect the real-world changes.
One more thing:sometimes, when you make these big updates, especially with custom rosters, things can get a little wonky. Like, a player might be in the wrong position or something. Just double-check your lineups before you start a new game to make sure everything looks right.
That’s pretty much it! Nothing too crazy, but it definitely makes the game feel more realistic and up-to-date. Happy gaming, folks!
