Well, looky here, I see folks wonderin’ if they can ask for a trade in “MLB The Show 24.” Now, I ain’t no expert on them fancy video games, but let me tell ya what I know. Back in the day, you used to be able to go up to your agent and tell ’em, “Hey, I ain’t too happy with my team, get me a trade!” But let me tell ya, that ain’t the case no more in this new game, “MLB The Show 24.” You can’t just call up your agent like you used to and demand to get traded, no sir. The whole thing’s been changed up.
But don’t you worry none, there’s still a way to wiggle outta the team you’re stuck with. Only thing is, it’s a bit more tricky now. See, if you’re playin’ in that Road to the Show mode, you might get a call from your agent once or twice in the season. And when he calls, that’s your chance to ask for a trade. But that don’t happen all the time, so don’t go expectin’ it every day like you’re gettin’ a call from the grocery store about a sale. It’s a rare thing.
Now, I heard folks sayin’ that the developers at SDS (that’s the folks who make the game) done messed up and took away the option to just ask for a trade whenever you felt like it. I don’t know why they did that, maybe they thought it was too easy or somethin’, but that’s how it is now. So, what do ya do? Well, sometimes you gotta play dirty if you want things to change.
Here’s a little trick I heard from other folks: if you wanna get traded, you might have to be a little bit of a jerk to your manager. That’s right, if you act like a big ol’ pain in the neck, that might increase your chances of gettin’ shipped off to another team. Now, I’m not sayin’ go around yellin’ at everybody and causin’ a ruckus, but showin’ a little bit of frustration might just be enough to get those trade rumors goin’. Sometimes, them managers don’t like it when players act up, and they might just let you go if they think you ain’t happy where you are.
But hold on, it ain’t all that easy, though. Once your agent does manage to get you a trade, the teams gotta agree to it. That’s when you’ll get a notification about the trade. But before it all goes down, you gotta pass a physical for your new team. They gotta make sure you ain’t fallin’ apart or got somethin’ wrong with ya. That’s standard, they do that for every player. Once everything checks out, then it’s off to your new team. Simple as that, but it’s not always that simple if you ask me.
Now, I ain’t gonna go all deep into the “Diamond Dynasty” mode, but I reckon some of y’all might be interested in that too. If you’re playin’ there, you can buy perks from the Marketplace, where folks go back and forth with digital goods. But let me tell ya, that’s a whole different thing. It don’t have much to do with trades, but it’s good for if you want some shiny new stuff for your player. You can equip up to four perks for your ballplayer, so there’s plenty to mess around with if you’re into that.
So, to wrap it all up, no, you can’t just go demandin’ a trade in “MLB The Show 24” like you used to. But if you play your cards right, and maybe act a little cranky at times, you might just get that call from your agent. And if you’re lucky enough, you’ll be packin’ your bags and headin’ to a new team. It ain’t easy, but then again, nothin’ worth havin’ is ever easy, right?
