Alright, so I wanted to spice up my playthrough of Alpha Sapphire, and I figured, why not try some cheat codes? I’ve never really messed with cheats before, so this was a whole new world for me.

Finding the Codes
First things first, I needed to find the actual codes. I just went on a good old-fashioned Google search, nothing fancy. Typed in something like “Alpha Sapphire cheat codes” and boom, tons of websites popped up. I spent a good while browsing through different forums and cheat code sites, making sure I was looking at codes specifically for Alpha Sapphire, not the original Sapphire, you know?
Getting the Cheats Working
Now, this is where things got a little tricky. I wasn’t using an emulator, I was playing on my actual 3DS. I had a basic action replay device, and I finally found my old one.
I plugged my Alpha Sapphire cartridge into my 3ds , and then put it into my action replay powersaves, and started the whole thing up. I went into the “cheat codes” section and started manually inputting the codes I’d found online. It was tedious, to say the least. Lots of numbers and letters, making sure I didn’t mess up a single one. Double-checking, triple-checking…you get the idea.
Testing the Cheats
Once I had a few codes entered, I decided to test them out. I saved my game (important, always save before messing with cheats!), and then enabled the codes I wanted to try. I started with something simple, like a “Max Money” code, to see if it even worked.
- Max Money: Loaded up my game, and bam! My wallet was overflowing with cash. It worked!
- Infinite Rare Candies: This one was a bit more involved. I had to make sure I entered the code correctly, then go to my PC in the game, and withdraw the Rare Candies from the item storage. And yep, there they were!
- Walk Through Walls: Okay, this one was just for fun. Turned it on, and suddenly I could walk through anything. It was hilarious, glitching through buildings and stuff. Definitely not recommended for normal gameplay, but fun to mess around with.
- Shiny pokemon:This one I test and found my first shiny, it is awesome!
My Experience
Honestly, it was a mixed bag. Some codes worked perfectly, others didn’t seem to do anything, and some even caused the game to freeze up (good thing I saved!). It was a lot of trial and error. I realized you really gotta be careful with which codes you use, and it’s probably best to stick to the ones that are well-documented and known to work.
It was a fun experiment, though! I definitely enjoyed making my game a little crazier for a while. Would I recommend it? Sure, if you’re looking for a different way to experience the game, and you’re prepared to do some tinkering. Just remember to save often, and don’t blame me if your game glitches out!
