Getting Things Ready for the Wyatt 6 Members
Alright, let’s talk about getting things sorted for the wyatt 6 members. This was a few weeks back, I think. Basically, we had six new people joining, part of this ‘Wyatt’ project or group, whatever they called it. My job was to get their initial setup handled.

So, first thing I did was grab the list of names. Always gotta start there, right? Make sure I knew who these six folks were. Checked the spelling twice because you don’t want to mess that up on day one stuff.
Then, I headed over to the supply closet. Needed to put together those basic welcome kits. You know, the standard things we give out. I grabbed:
- Six notebooks
- Six pens (made sure they worked!)
- Company keychains, six of ’em
- The little info booklet
- And those temporary access badges
Spread everything out on that big table in the back office. Made like an assembly line for myself, worked pretty well. Put one of each item into six separate piles. Double-checked again. You know, count six notebooks, six pens… easy to miscount when you’re just grabbing stuff.
Next step was the badges. Had to print their names and stick ’em on the temp badges. Used the little label maker we have. Punched in the first name, printed, stuck it on. Did that six times. Simple, but you gotta be careful lining them up straight, otherwise it looks sloppy.
After getting the physical kits ready, I had to do the initial system stuff. Just basic access. Logged into the admin panel – the slow one, ugh. Clicked through to add new users. Typed in their names, assigned them the standard ‘new starter’ profile. Nothing complicated, just click, type, save. Repeated that six times. It was mostly waiting for the system to load between each one, honestly.
Finally, I put each person’s labeled badge with their kit pile. Stacked the kits neatly on the shelf, ready for them to pick up when they arrived. Job done. Wasn’t rocket science, just a bit of organizing and clicking around. Made sure those six members had their basic stuff ready to go.
