Okay, so I wanted to get a good look at the Oral Roberts baseball team’s roster. You know, see who’s playing, maybe check out some stats, that sort of thing.

First, I gotta find the dang thing. I just fired up my web browser and did a simple search for “Oral Roberts baseball roster”. Seemed like the most obvious way to go about it.
Boom! The first few results looked promising. usually university athletic pages are pretty good about this stuff.
I poked around the official athletic site a bit. It’s usually pretty easy to find what I am looking for. I browsed for a tab or link called “Roster”. It’s usually somewhere prominent on team pages.
Diving into the Roster
Once I got to the roster page, it was pretty much what you’d expect. A nice, organized list of all the players.
- Names: Obviously, all the players’ names were listed.
- Numbers: Their jersey numbers, good for identifying them in games.
- Positions: Whether they’re pitchers, catchers, infielders, outfielders, the whole nine yards.
- Height/Weight: The physical specs.
- Class, Hometown, Previous school, Batting/throwing: The player detail.
It was simple but the infomation that I need is already there and has a good overview. I can easily look for the details of a certain player.
So, yeah, that’s pretty much it. It’s not rocket science, finding a sports roster online. Just gotta know where to look, and the school’s official athletic site is almost always the best place to start.
