Finding That Yankees Symbol
Alright, so the other day I was texting a buddy about the game, and I really wanted to drop a little something extra in there, you know? Like a Yankees symbol or something close to an emoji for them. I figured it’d be easy.

First thing I did was pull up my regular phone keyboard emojis. Scrolled through sports, scrolled through symbols… nothing. No NY logo, no baseball cap that looked quite right. A bit frustrating, honestly. I thought for sure there’d be something official in the standard set these days.
So, plan B. I went online. Opened up my browser and just started searching. Typed in things like “Yankees emoji”, “NY Yankees text symbol”, “copy paste yankees logo”. A whole bunch of stuff popped up, mostly websites dedicated to text symbols and special characters.
I clicked into a couple of them. Some were confusing, full of ads. But then I landed on one that seemed simpler. It had lists of different symbols you could copy. I scrolled down, looking for sports or team logos.
Found it! Well, sort of. It wasn’t like a perfect graphical emoji, more like text art or a specific character someone had designated for the Yankees. Sometimes it was just the classic ‘NY’ styled in a certain font, sometimes other baseball related symbols grouped together.
The site had a button right next to the symbol that just said “Copy”. So, I tapped that. Seemed straightforward enough. My phone even gave me that little “Copied to clipboard” notification.
Putting It to Use
Okay, moment of truth. I switched back over to my text message conversation. Found the spot where I wanted to put the symbol. Pressed and held on the screen, just like you do for pasting anything. The “Paste” option popped up.
I tapped “Paste”, and boom! There it was, right in my message. The little ‘NY’ symbol I’d copied. It looked pretty neat, actually. Exactly what I was going for.
Sent the text off to my friend. He knew exactly what it meant. So yeah, it took a little searching online instead of just finding it in the emoji keyboard, but the whole copy and paste thing worked like a charm. Good to know for next time I want to show some team spirit in a message.
